Nurses Say No to Nevada Bill Blurring State Lines for Nurse Licensure, Citing Risks for Patient Care

On Wednesday, February 8, registered nurse members of National Nurses Organizing Committee-Nevada/National Nurses United (NNOC/NNU) will appear before Nevada’s Committee on Commerce and Labor to speak out against AB 18, “Ratification of the Nurse Licensure Compact”—legislation which would allow nurses in a multi-state compact to share a single license across state lines.

Registered Nurses Applaud Introduction of Legislation to Improve V.A. Patient Care

National Nurses United, the largest union of registered nurses in the United States, applauded the re-introduction today of federal legislation to restore collective bargaining rights to registered nurses and other clinicians working at Veterans Administration medical centers. The legislation would improve patient care in V.A. hospitals and strengthen the health care work force in those facilities.
