Union nurses to canvass door to door in Tucson, Ariz., to get out the vote for Harris-Walz

Nurse ready to canvass for Harris Walz

National Nurses United (NNU) union members are joining the Arizona State AFL-CIO for a rally and canvassing door to door in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and the Democratic presidential ticket on Saturday, Oct. 5. National Nurses United nurses endorsed Harris for President on July 23. RNs from around the country will be joining Arizona-based NNU members and other local union members and supporters in Tucson, Ariz., for the rally and canvass, which will focus on outreach to union-member households.

"NNU members can't wait to talk with our union siblings about our reasons for supporting the Harris-Walz ticket," said NNU President Nancy Hagans, RN. "Vice President Harris and Governor Walz both have excellent track records when it comes to their support for working families, and they're committed to supporting and strengthening our rights as union members. As nurses, we cannot abide a return to the chaos of the Trump administration. The Harris-Walz ticket is the best choice for our patients' health and safety."
