This event will include opportunities to:
- Mix and mingle with your union colleagues
- Listen to RN stories about how NNU university classes impact their advocacy and leadership; including a discussion with:
- Leah Monterrosa, RN Kaiser Oakland (Health Inequity and Care Program)
- Kathrin Muellerchen, RN UCLA (Health Inequity and Care Program)
- Rochelle Pardue-Okimoto, RN Alta Bates (Women’s Global Health Leadership Program)
- Jana Siu, RN UCSF (Women’s Global Health Leadership Program)
- Dawn Vattuone, RN Kaiser SF (Health Inequity and Care Program)
- Chat with NNU faculty teaching the courses and explore samples of the innovative curriculum
- Hear how nurses in our online university classes inspire university students to stand up for nurse values and advocate for health justice
- Record your stories about NNU education and its application to advocacy in a “video booth.” Footage may be used in a special video project about NNU Education programs
- Save your "online" seat for Fall semester classes and learn about our scholarships
