Union nurses from around the nation to canvass door to door in Vegas to get out the vote for Harris-Walz
National Nurses United (NNU) union members are joining the Nevada State AFL-CIO canvass to knock on doors in support of Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic presidential ticket on Saturday, Sept. 14. National Nurses United nurses endorsed Kamala Harris for President on July 23.
Nearly 40 RNs from around the country, including California, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, and Texas, will be joining Nevada-based NNU members for the canvass, which will focus on reaching out to union-member households.
“NNU members look forward to speaking with our union siblings about our enthusiastic support for the Harris-Walz ticket,” said Sandy Reding, RN and president of the California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee, which is an affiliate of National Nurses United. “Vice President Harris and Governor Walz both have strong track records in supporting working families, and are committed to supporting and strengthening our rights as union members. As nurses we absolutely do not want to go back to the bad old days of the Trump administration! The Harris-Walz ticket is the very best choice to protect our patients’ health and safety.”
