"Nurses know how broken our healthcare system is because we see patients every day who skip life saving treatments and medication because they have to make hard choices between paying medical bills or keeping a roof over their heads," said Martha Kuhl, RN, CNA Treasurer and CHC executive committee member.
"It is unconscionable, and this film shows that we can Fix It with an improved Medicare for all system both here in California and nationally," Kuhl added.
“It’s my business to negotiate more affordable healthcare plans and I care deeply about people accessing healthcare,” said John Glynn, owner of J. Glynn & Company, "yet with constantly rising insurance plan costs, I struggle as a business owner to provide quality affordable healthcare plans to my employees healthcare issues everyday as a business owner.”
"With a single payer system," said Glynn, "I calculated my small business would save a total annual employer net savings of $46,460 per year to cover 4 employees plus dependents; plus employees save net $1,509 annually. That's net savings of about $12,000 per employee. Plus Medicare for All would mean all of my employees would have access high quality care."
