Press Release
SATURDAY: Union nurses joining “Hands Off!” protests

Nurses will be joining nationwide protests against current administration policies.
Registered nurses from National Nurses United (NNU), the country’s largest nurses union, will join protests on Saturday, April 5, to add their voices to the choir calling for “Hands Off!” as part of a mass mobilization against current administration policies. Union nurses condemn ongoing attacks on vital health care services, workers’ protections and rights, and the very concept of a society where people care for each other.
“We nurses are protectors of public health and advocates for our patients. We know — through both science and experience — that health is not just about medical treatment. It’s also about the world we live in,” said Cathy Kennedy, RN and president of National Nurses United. “We must stand up for a society that values people over profit. We must fight to protect these public programs, and we must fight to protect our unions. We need to tell them, ‘Hands off!’”
