Bernie Sanders Grassroots Volunteers Open the First Presidential Race Office in Ohio
Nurses will join other Bernie supporters and volunteers at the grand opening of the Cleveland-area Bernie Sanders for President Campaign office this Saturday. This is the first presidential race office to open in Ohio. The new campaign office is not affiliated with the official Bernie Sanders for President campaign and will be staffed and funded entirely by Bernie's Cleveland-area volunteers and supporters.
“Nurses in Ohio are very proud to work alongside our community volunteers to make a home for Bernie Sanders in Northeast Ohio. Ohio nurses know that there is no other presidential candidate who will fight for our patients and our communities like Bernie will,” said RN Sarah Falanga, who will be speaking at the grand opening event.

“I deal with Wall Street greed on a daily basis in my hospital, which is owned by one of the largest publicly traded hospital corporations in the US, CHS. We struggle to provide the best care for our patients as CHS continually puts the bottom line before patient care. Nurses see these devastating effects at the bedside and know it is past time for Wall Street to pay their fair share. We know Bernies plans to take on Wall Street and he supports a single payer health care system which will make a huge difference in our lives and the lives of our patients said Sarah Falanga, an RN at Affinity Medical Center in Massillon, Ohio.
National Nurses United is the largest organization of registered nurses in the U.S. with 186,000 members in all 50 states. Earlier this week, NNU, the first national labor organization to endorse Bernie Sanders for President, kicked off a national bus campaign for Bernie Sanders. The Bernie Bus is currently touring the early primary state of Nevada, and will soon be headed for Iowa.
