NNOC and CNA now represent more than 150,000 RNs in about 300 facilities throughout the nation, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.

Nurses at University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, are returning to work today after last week’s two-day strike and a three-day management lockout over Super Bowl weekend. They say that, following their strike on February 5 and 6, they are eager to get back to patient care and to work out a strong first contract with LCMC Health management.
Nurses at University Medical Center (UMC) in New Orleans, La., are moving forward with the two-day strike on Feb. 5 and 6. The strike will be the second at UMC as nurses continue to demand progress on a first union contract with their employer, LCMC health.
Registered nurses at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Md., decisively voted to maintain their representation from National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United. Nurses recertified NNOC/NNU as their union representation, winning by a larger margin than their original union election in November 2023.
Nurses at University Medical Center in New Orleans, La., called a two-day strike for Feb. 5-6. This will be the second strike by UMC nurses amid ongoing negotiations for a first union contract with their employer, LCMC Health.
