Wow! The Maryland Senate just voted 35-10 to ban fracking in Maryland! Since the House already passed the bill and Governor Hogan promised to sign it, we're about to ban fracking in Maryland.

This victory is a true testament to the power of grassroots organizing and believing that even when the odds are stacked against us, we can do extraordinary things. Maryland just became the first state with gas reserves to pass a legislative ban on fracking, and Governor Hogan is the first Republican governor to call for a fracking ban.
