The Big Red Bus Stopped in San Jose

We need single payer health care now! The single payer plan is also called Medicare for All. The Raging Grannies came out in support of the California Nurses Association, saying the best change would be to a system that takes care of everyone in America's health needs.

Even with the recent Supreme Court ruling having upheld most of the Obama healthcare reform plan, "our healthcare crisis will be far from over, and we will still need real reform,” said Zenei Cortez, co-president of the California Nurses Association/National Nurses United.

On Monday the bus stopped in San Jose. Some of the other of 19 stops were mentioned in a tune by the Raging Grannies who sang to greet nurses arriving on the large red bus. "San Diego was the start point, here it comes -- Stopped in Fresno, Stockton, Chico here it comes -- Next it heads to San Francisco -- Goes through in San Luis Obispo -- We are glad it stops in our town, here it comes!" they sang to the tune of "She'll be Coming 'Round the Mountain.

The Grannies carried banners supporting Medicare for All, and their Raging Grannies banners, one which was their name in Spanish, Las Abuelitas Enojadas.
